BestBall Reviews: PowerBilt's Atlas Wedges

As soon as we wrapped our interview with Trevor Larsen on The Hole Story Podcast (listen here), I knew I had to try PowerBilt’s Atlas Wedges. My old Titleist Vokeys had given me a decade of loyal service, but it was time to test out something new.

When you talk about first impressions, these wedges absolutely crush the eye test. I went with the Bronze finish, and I’m not sure I’ve ever called a golf club “pretty” before…but these are pretty. I honestly felt a little guilty hitting them for the first time, knowing that perfect finish wouldn’t last. But after a dozen-plus rounds—and plenty of help from my Grooveit brush—they still look fantastic.

A friend recently asked what I thought about the full-face grooves. Truthfully, I hadn’t even noticed them at first. After comparing them to my old wedges, I saw exactly what he meant, and I’m a fan. PowerBilt says the design helps “promote maximum spin,” and while I can’t say for certain how much that feature alone helps, I can say I’m getting noticeably more bite around the greens.

When it comes to deciding whether a new club earns a permanent spot in my bag, I boil it down to three things: it has to look good, feel good, and give me confidence. PowerBilt’s Atlas wedges check all three boxes—and then some. I think they’ll check them for you, too.

Give the wedges a look (along with the rest of their lineup) and see why PowerBilt says these clubs are “Not your dad’s PowerBilt.”
